Well, these were an unexpected Weeknight Win! Simple ingredients and so much flavor. I love these for dinner, but they would be great for a party as well.
These are teen boy and toddler approved. I had a few leftover and shared them with the neighborhood teens. They INHALED them and fought for the last one. lol I do believe teenage boys are my favorite people to feed. First of all, they are always hungry. Second, they are always hungry. 😉
Sticky Tenders with House Sauce

- Chicken –
1.5 lbs Boneless Skinless Chicken Tenders or Breast (cut into tenders)
Salt & Pepper, to taste
2 C Pretzels, crushed fine
1 tsp Garlic Powder
2 Eggs
Olive Oil, in spray bottle
Honey for drizzling
- House Sauce-
1/2 C. Mayo (or half Mayo & half Greek Yogurt)
1 Garlic clove, minced
2 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
1 Tbsp Yellow Mustard
1 Tbsp Honey
1 Tbsp BBQ Sauce
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Spray rack with non-stick cooking spray.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Place pretzels in ziploc bag and pound with rolling pin or mallet to crush.
- Place pretzels on a plate and stir in garlic powder.
- Beat eggs in a shallow bowl.
- Dredge tenders in egg and then roll in pretzel mixture. Place on baking rack and repeat with remaining chicken.
- Spray chicken with olive oil.
- Bake 12 minutes. Turn chicken and spray again with olive oil.
- Continue baking 10-12 minutes or until cooked through.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes and then drizzle chicken tenders with honey.
- While chicken is cooking, stir together House Sauce ingredients.
